The project
This year, as engineering students, we have a great opportunity. We can participate in one of the projects from Ingénieux Sud, managed by the Ecole Polytechnique de Louvain (EPL) and the NGOs Ingénieurs Sans Frontières (ISF) and Louvain Coopération.
Our project « Yaku for Oruro » deals with the issues of lack of water and irrigation in Bolivia.
To carry out the project, we formed a group of six motivated students.
Our main goal is that the local population makes the project its own. After our departure, our various local partners will oversee the project.
Our project has value because it's

- Concrete : the aim of the project is to find technical solutions for problems found in Southern developing countries. At any time, you can contact us for more information about our progress.
- Promising :There is a real need to move to a green agriculture life-style in Bolivia. Our irrigation project will help the country in doing so/
- Supported by several NGO: The NGOs Louvain Coopération and Ingénieurs Sans Frontières in partnership with the local NGO Aprosar. This project is also supported by Catholic University of Louvain UCL).
